Jensen Huang unveils Dell AI Factory updates, signaling massive growth in enterprise AI infrastructure with NVIDIA’s cutting-edge technology.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang took the stage alongside Dell CEO Michael Dell at Dell Technologies World on May 18, declaring that demand for AI infrastructure is “going parabolic, utterly parabolic.” The event showcased new advancements in the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA, a tightly integrated platform designed to power the next generation of enterprise AI.

The partnership between NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) and Dell Technologies continues to deepen, with both companies positioning themselves at the forefront of the rapidly expanding enterprise AI market. Worldwide AI infrastructure spending is projected to hit $3-4 trillion by 2030, according to Dell, with token consumption expected to skyrocket 3,400% in the same timeframe. For NVIDIA, this signals an unprecedented opportunity to drive adoption of its GPUs, CPUs, and networking solutions.

    Game-Changing Hardware for AI Factories

The hardware announcements were headlined by Dell’s new PowerEdge systems powered by NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin NVL72 platform. These systems promise up to 10x lower cost-per-token for AI inferencing, a critical metric as enterprises scale agentic AI deployments. The new XE9812 server, for instance, combines NVIDIA’s latest GPUs with Dell’s integrated thermal and software optimizations, delivering significant productivity gains for enterprise workloads.

To complement these systems, NVIDIA Vera CPUs offer 50% faster agentic AI workload completion compared to traditional x86 processors. Huang emphasized Vera’s unmatched single-threaded performance and memory bandwidth, which enable faster database queries and reduced latency for AI applications.

The updates also included advancements in networking, with Dell’s PowerSwitch portfolio now integrating NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand and Spectrum-6 Ethernet. These technologies aim to eliminate bottlenecks in data center infrastructure, ensuring seamless scalability for large-scale AI deployments.

    On-Premises AI Gains Momentum

A notable theme of the event was the growing shift toward on-premises AI solutions. Dell cited its own survey, revealing that 67% of AI workloads now run outside the cloud. New offerings such as NVIDIA Confidential Computing allow enterprises to securely deploy advanced AI models on-premises without exposing sensitive data or intellectual property.

Examples of real-world applications showcased during the keynote included life sciences innovations at Eli Lilly, industrial automation at Honeywell, and high-frequency trading research at Hudson River Trading. Each underscores the versatility and scalability of the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA in delivering AI-driven transformation across industries.

    Why It Matters for NVIDIA

For NVIDIA, these announcements further solidify its role as the backbone of enterprise AI infrastructure. The Dell collaboration forms a critical component of NVIDIA’s broader strategy to build vertically integrated “AI factories.” By combining GPUs, CPUs, and networking into turnkey solutions, NVIDIA can address the surging demand for high-performance AI systems while maintaining a competitive edge in the $5.44 trillion AI infrastructure market.

From a trading perspective, NVIDIA’s ability to capitalize on the AI boom could sustain its stock momentum. With a current market price of $222.32 (as of May 18, 2026), NVIDIA has already seen significant growth as enterprises race to adopt advanced AI tools. However, its future valuation will depend heavily on how effectively it can scale its partnerships and maintain technological leadership in this rapidly evolving space.

    Looking Ahead

The announcements at Dell Technologies World set the stage for further updates at NVIDIA’s upcoming GTC Taipei event from June 1-4. With the AI market entering what Huang calls “the era of useful AI,” both NVIDIA and Dell aim to lead the charge in enabling enterprises to transition from pilot projects to full-scale AI production.

For investors and industry watchers, the key question will be how quickly these deployments translate into revenue growth for NVIDIA and its partners. With enterprise AI adoption accelerating, the stakes have never been higher.
